Partials and Shapers / Reconstruction Solutions

After a lumpectomy or breast sparing surgery, breast symmetry may be missing and you might feel an “unevenness”. You may notice the difference a few weeks after your initial surgery or years later as your body changes (weight gain or loss, natural aging process, etc). This can be very noticeable in your clothes and may cause your bra and clothes to shift to the side. Balance can be achieved with the use of proper fitting bras in conjunction with a breast prosthesis shaper.

If you have chosen reconstruction, an expandable breast prosthesis is a temporary alternative to wear during the reconstruction period. An adjustable silicone overlay or partial prostheses is adjusted to the desired volume and worn comfortably over the tissue expander, existing breast tissue, or implant. Creating a symmetrical silhouette throughout the expansion process.
